ycn - Thoughts and Action Plan...

Well after Wednesday's crit feedback, myself and Sarah were pleased with the responses we received. I was glad to find that people really seemed to 'get' our idea very clearly as I wondered whether they would be able to easily understand how in particular the paper webpage would translate into something digital. Positive comments were also given on our choice of typeface, colour schemes and the handcrafted vibe of the project that really put the focus on paper at the forefront of the project.
Immediately after the session myself and Sarah reassessed where we were and what we still had to do and what we could achieve in the time available. We discussed and agreed plans to alter the format of the direct mail and how information would be included and presented within it and we both now feel settled on how it will be resolved.
Over this weekend we have agreed that we must have actual size, fully working mock ups of the direct mail and also have all of the handcrafted paper elements needed to construct the paper webpage ready for photographing on Monday. We are aiming to have photographs of the paper webpage shot by then which will leave us time to edit the images and add on digitally essential information text that will help to show how it would exist in a working state. Also, if this can be wrapped up first it would allow both of us then to concentrate on crafting the direct mail to a high level which should mean we produce something that can be photographed well and would communicate exactly what we want to say. Personally, Im particularly pleased with the two formats of the resolution - the direct mail (focusing on a specific paper range) leading to a re-designed paper webpage for Fedrigoni. I think it sits perfectly with there desire for an integrated marketing campaign whilst our thorough research has led us to address further issues we felt were important to resolve. Im also impressed with the way in which we have worked through, scrapped and changed multiple ideas which have all led us to the current point we are at now - which I think is a sound concept and idea which looks like it will be resolved in an appropriate, effective and high quality manner.
