On further development of the hand drawn typography, I decided that I was happy with the delicate stroke of the word 'Tokyo' but, I wasn't satisfied with the chunky 'Top 10' lettering. I felt the style of it was more than likely to be similar to something I could find online, which turned out to be the case with the Bebas font shown below.
The Bebas font is bold and yet still fairly slim and elegant and was essentially just what I was looking for. I also altered the curve of the descender on the letter y so it tessellated nicely with the stroke of the number one beneath it. It's all in the detail!
